TP-Link Tapo P110 4-pack: keep track of power use across your whole home

With a single energy-monitoring plug, you check one device after another. With the Tapo P110 4-pack, you can tackle your whole home: the TV corner in the living room, the washing machine in the bathroom, the computer in the study and the coffee machine in the kitchen can all be measured in parallel. The Tapo app shows the consumption figures side by side, so you quickly see where most of the power is going.

Each of the four plugs can be switched individually, with its own schedules and timers. For example, you can switch off your entertainment electronics completely at night, preheat the coffee machine in the morning and, while you're on holiday, use Away Mode to switch on lamps in different rooms at varying times.

The plugs connect directly to your Wi-Fi, with no bridge required. With Alexa or Google Assistant, you can address each one individually if you give them suitable names. With a 16 A maximum load per plug, they cover many typical household appliances.

Worth knowing: all four plugs need 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi with good reception at each location, so it's worth a quick check in the cellar or bathroom in particular. According to TP-Link, air conditioners and fridges aren't meant for continuous operation on the plug. If you only want to measure one device, the single pack is enough.
