Brennenstuhl RM C 9010 3-pack: smoke alarms with replaceable 9 V battery

This Brennenstuhl set contains three RM C 9010 smoke alarms, enough to cover, for example, a bedroom, a kid's room and the hallway in one go. Each alarm uses an optical sensor and, according to the manufacturer, is tested and certified to EN 14604, the European standard for smoke alarms.

When it detects smoke, the alarm sounds a piercing 85 dB signal. With the test button you can regularly check that the siren and electronics are working, and an indicator light shows the operating status. The alarms are designed for ceiling mounting, and each one comes with a mounting kit including screws and wall plugs.

Unlike models with a sealed long-life battery, the RM C 9010 runs on a standard 9 V battery. Brennenstuhl rates battery life at a minimum of one year. When the battery runs low, the alarm chirps so you can replace it in time. The first three batteries are included.

Worth knowing: plan battery changes in advance, for example once a year, and keep spares at hand. If you'd rather not deal with that, an alarm with a 10-year battery is the better fit. The alarms can't be interconnected, so each one only sounds on its own. Kitchens and bathrooms aren't suitable locations because of steam. How many alarms you need is set by the building regulations of your German state.
