Hama 3-way power strip: socket strip with illuminated switch and 1.4 m cable

The Hama 3-way power strip is a simple white model for any spot where one wall socket isn't enough: behind the TV, at your desk or under the sofa. Three Schuko sockets give you room for power adapters, lamps or kitchen appliances.

The sockets are rotated by 45°. According to Hama, this lets three Schuko plugs sit side by side at the same time, even if their cables exit sideways. The illuminated double-pole switch cuts power to everything plugged in at once, for example switching off the TV and receiver in the evening so they don't sit in standby. The light tells you at a glance whether the strip is on.

The cord is 1.4 m long, an H05VV-F cable with 3 × 1.5 mm² conductors. Hama specifies 230 V, 16 A and a maximum load of up to 3,500 W. The strip is GS/TÜV tested and made of plastic.

Worth knowing: there's no surge protection, no USB ports and no child-safety shutters – this strip is deliberately basic. At 1.4 m the cord is on the short side, so for sockets further away you'll need a longer model. Don't daisy-chain several strips, and keep in mind that the 3,500 W rating applies to all three sockets combined.
