Einhell PXC Starter Kit 4.0 Ah: 18 V battery with 3 A fast charger

Many Einhell cordless tools are sold as bare units without battery or charger. The Starter Kit fills that gap: it contains an 18 V 4.0 Ah battery from the Power X-Change system and a matching charger. With it you can run any PXC tool, from drill drivers to hedge trimmers, and expand later with more bare tools.

The battery has a three-level LED charge indicator, and a battery management system monitors the cells. Einhell says the rubberised housing is resistant to dust and corrosion, and a grip recess makes it easy to remove. Two PXC batteries can be used together in twin-slot tools for 36 V applications.

The charger delivers 3 A. For the included 4.0 Ah battery Einhell quotes a charging time of about 75 minutes. A six-step LED display shows charging progress, smart charge management controls the process, and a refresh mode is meant to revive deeply discharged batteries. Built-in eyelets let you hang the charger on your workshop wall.

Worth knowing: the kit includes only one battery; if you work for long stretches, a second one is worth having. Larger batteries take correspondingly longer on the 3 A charger. Battery and charger are only compatible with Einhell Power X-Change, not with other brands' tools or older Einhell battery systems.
