UNO Show ’em No Mercy: UNO variant with 168 cards and much tougher penalties

UNO Show ’em No Mercy takes UNO's familiar matching game and, according to Mattel, turns it into the toughest version yet. You still play cards by colour or number and call "UNO" when you're down to one card. On top of that come 56 extra cards and several new rules that keep hands changing constantly.

New action cards include Skip Everyone, Wild Draw 6 and Wild Draw 10. The stacking rule lets you pass a draw penalty on to the next player with a matching card, until someone can't counter and has to take the whole pile. When a 7 or a 0 is played, players swap hands. And under the mercy rule, anyone holding more than 25 cards is out.

That gives you two ways to win: get rid of all your cards, or be the last one standing once everyone else has been knocked out. The pack contains 168 cards and the rules, and the age rating is 7 and up.

Worth knowing: this variant is less suited to relaxed family rounds or very young children who don't like losing, since individual players can quickly draw lots of cards or drop out altogether. The cards aren't meant to be mixed with a regular UNO deck. The manufacturer data available to us doesn't state a player count, so check the packaging.
