Samsung Galaxy Buds3 FE: earbuds with ANC, Galaxy AI and up to 30 hours of playback

The Galaxy Buds3 FE (model SM-R420, here in black) are Samsung's entry point into the Buds3 family and suit you best if you use a Galaxy smartphone and want cable-free music and calls on the go, in the office or on your commute. The stem-style earbuds weigh around 5 grams each, and three sizes of ear tips are included.

Active noise cancellation dampens ambient noise, and ambient sound mode lets announcements or conversations back in when you need them. For calls, Samsung uses several microphones with AI-assisted filtering of background noise. You control playback and skip tracks by pinching the stem, and adjust the volume with a swipe. 360 Audio provides spatial sound.

With ANC on, the Buds last up to 6 hours according to Samsung, or up to 24 hours with the charging case. Without ANC, it's up to 8.5 and 30 hours respectively. The case charges via USB-C or wirelessly. Within the Galaxy ecosystem, there are extras such as automatic device switching, Lost Mode via Samsung Find and the Galaxy AI Interpreter, which translates conversations in real time.

Worth knowing: many convenience features such as Interpreter and Auto Switch require a compatible Galaxy device; with other smartphones, the Buds work as regular Bluetooth earbuds. A USB-C cable isn't included. The model number ending in XAC denotes a regional variant, so check the details on what's in the box and the warranty.
