Philips SpeedPro Max 7000 Pet XC7065/01: cordless vacuum for pet hair

The Philips SpeedPro Max 7000 Series Pet (XC7065/01) is a cordless stick vacuum aimed primarily at households with a dog or cat. It's designed to make quick work of daily vacuuming without a cable and to lift pet hair from floors and upholstery.

The floor nozzle doesn't just pick up at the front but all the way round: dirt is collected whether you push forwards, backwards or sideways. The main nozzle and crevice tool have LED lights so you can see dust under furniture and in dark corners more easily. For sofas and car seats, there's a pet hair tool designed to stop hair wrapping around the brush. There are also further attachments for corners and gaps.

Philips quotes up to 80 minutes of runtime in Eco mode and up to 30 minutes in Turbo mode. The lithium-ion battery is removable, and a display shows you the charge level. You empty the dust container at the push of a button without having to detach it.

Worth knowing: the long runtime only applies to the most economical setting; if you use Turbo a lot, it'll run out considerably sooner. This model has no mopping function. Replacement filters and an extra battery are available separately if you want to vacuum large areas in one go.
