The HyperX Cloud Stinger 2 is a wired over-ear headset that HyperX designs specifically for PC gamers. The closed-back ear cups house 50 mm dynamic drivers with neodymium magnets, with a frequency range of 10 Hz to 28 kHz according to the manufacturer.
At under 300 grams, it's one of the lighter models in the range. The cushions are made of memory foam with a leatherette cover, and the ear cups rotate 90 degrees, so the headset rests flat around your neck during breaks. You adjust the volume directly on the headset.
The electret condenser microphone filters out ambient noise. Flip the mic arm up and it mutes automatically. It connects via a fixed cable with a 3.5 mm jack, and a PC splitter cable for separate headphone and microphone sockets is included.
Worth knowing: HyperX lists PC as the only platform. There are separate Stinger 2 versions for PlayStation and Xbox. The microphone is built in and can't be detached. This model has no wireless connection; for that, you'll need the wireless version.
