HyperX Cloud III: wired gaming headset with 53 mm drivers for all platforms

The HyperX Cloud III is the successor to the well-known Cloud II and features redesigned, angled 53 mm drivers with neodymium magnets. They're designed to direct sound more precisely into your ears. This is the black version.

The frame is made of aluminium, and the headband and ear cushions are padded with memory foam and leatherette. Without the microphone, the headset weighs around 308 grams according to the manufacturer. You control volume and mute directly on the ear cup.

The detachable 10 mm microphone features noise cancellation and a built-in mesh filter. An LED shows you when you're muted. You're flexible when it comes to connections: the cable ends in a 3.5 mm jack, and a USB dongle and a USB-C to USB-A adapter are included. That means it works with PC, Mac, PlayStation, Xbox, Switch and smartphones.

Worth knowing: the Cloud III is wired. If you want to play without a cable, go for the wireless version. Also check whether you want black or one of the other colour options, as HyperX produces the Cloud III in several versions. The microphone can be detached if you only use the headset for listening to music on the go.
