Apple AirTag (2nd generation) 4-pack: trackers for keys, bags and luggage

AirTag is Apple's coin-sized tracker that you attach to your keys, backpack or suitcase and then locate in the Find My app. The second generation brings a new Bluetooth chip and Apple's second-generation Ultra Wideband chip. According to Apple, this lets Precision Finding – where your iPhone guides you with an arrow and distance – work from up to 1.5 times as far away. The speaker is one and a half times as loud, the company says.

New this time: Precision Finding also works on Apple Watch, from Series 9 or Ultra 2. When an item is further away, the Find My network of other people's Apple devices helps locate it anonymously. With Share Item Location you can pass the location on temporarily – according to Apple to more than 50 airlines, including Lufthansa, Eurowings and Condor, which is handy for lost luggage.

The size is unchanged (31.9 × 8 mm, 11.8 g), so existing AirTag holders still fit. The housing is rated IP67 against dust and water. Power comes from a standard CR2032 coin cell, which Apple says lasts over a year and which you replace yourself. If someone else's AirTag ends up in your belongings, your iPhone or Android phone will notify you.

Worth knowing: you can only set up and locate AirTags with an iPhone or iPad (iOS 26.2.1 or iPadOS 26.1 or later) and an Apple Account; they can't be used with Android. Precision Finding needs an iPhone with an Ultra Wideband chip. No loop or holder is included, so you'll need a keyring or tag holder. The 4-pack makes sense if you want to cover several items.
